Memories of Kerikeri

1.80 m x 0.90 m
wet felted from NZ wool
enhanced with bead embroidery, the base embroidered in free-motion stitching

Have you ever driven along Hone Heke Road in Kerikeri? There are masses of thunbergia flowers – the orange black-eyed susan and everywhere are the vines of the morning glory high up in the shelter belts, a beautiful flood of blues and purples. It is considered a pest, but how beautiful a pest can look!
